Welcome
To Goldfield Ranch
Goldfield Ranch is a great place to live, full of open space and
natural desert beauty. The relative isolation of this small
community provides a sense of peace and tranquility, a chance to get
away from it all, a chance to experience a lifestyle that is a
little different. And since Goldfield Ranch is so unique, so are
many of the questions that newcomers have as they transition into
our community. “Where are the stores, the schools, the hospitals?”
“How do we get our mail?” “How do we get phone service?” “What
internet service providers can we use out here?” “What cultural and
recreational opportunities exist around here?” Some may even
wonder how to get water, electricity and gas. The list goes on and
on!
The Newcomers Committee was formed to help our new neighbors get
answers to many of these questions, to introduce them to Goldfield
Ranch, Fountain Hills and the surrounding area, and to welcome them
into our community. Members will have an opportunity to meet
Margaret Davis of Home Greetings in Fountain Hills. It is through
Margaret’s presentation that we learn that the success of the
Newcomers Committee “is in the bag”…the goody bag that is. Margaret
will present newcomers with goody bags full of information about
the community, with maps, gifts, coupons, a phone book, and much
more. She is a wonderful asset to our welcoming committee.
Committee members will be gathering information on Goldfield Ranch
and things that would be useful to new GR residents. This
information will be added to the Fountain Hills items that Margaret
has already gathered.
Even long time residents on the welcoming committee agree that this
is a successful and fun way to learn about our community. Everyone
receives a sample goody bag and they are astounded at the quantity
of useful information and gifts that are crammed into one bag!
Our next Newcomer
Meeting will be happening soon. If you are interested in helping
out and welcoming new neighbors, plan on joining us! Send Gina or
Janet an email. And if you know any families who have just moved
into Goldfield Ranch or will be in the near future, please send us
an email and let us know their names so we can extend an invitation
to them. You can reach Gina Waldo at
ginawaldo@grhoa.org or Janet Heekin
at
